SO, let us hope upon hope, we Burners and Neophytes that the Rain and COLD front can end the Burn ban and allow the burning of the effigy:
I need to busk much tonight and the next to afford supplies for the Burn this weekend, so teaser-girl doesn't get to Man-Nap me. I intend to surrender to indulgence and push my limits at Myschevia. We shall see. I heard that Burners have a lot of misconceptions of Rainbows. I'm sorta curious. Rainbow seems like an archaic revival (in the sense T. McKenna used it ) and a gathering of many tribes, healers, and (especially after Jerry "AntiChrist" Garcia died) hippies. Although the indigeounous tech and the love run high out in Rainbow, I have been wanting to get involved in the more Neophilic, Technophilic Culture of the Burn. One major difference I have percieved is that the Rainbow trail goes on ALL year, whereas most Burners are plugged in to their local community in ways that prevent a full-time Burner Circuit.
